The Arisaka Hand Stop is a low profile accessory for the support hand. Its main job is to help pull the rifle into your shoulder, which improves control and helps manage recoil. It can also be used as a barricade stop, or reversed and placed at the front of the handguard to keep the support hand from slipping off the end.
The size and profile are meant to suit a wide range of hands without getting in the way. A recoil lug extends from inside the part for a secure, rattle free lockup on the rail. The recoil lug and mating screw are captured, so they cannot fall out when the hand stop is removed. A rotation direction is engraved on the part to show which way to tighten or loosen the recoil lug.
