The Arisaka Defense Tailcap Adapter lets Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount HL-X lights run SureFire Scout-style tailcaps and remote switches, including the SureFire SR-D-IT and TNVC/Unity TAPS dual switches often paired with laser/illuminator units. The adapter also addresses the lack of a front battery spring in the light: two o-rings, one for CR123 cells and one for 18650 cells, sit on the back of the battery to keep it from moving rearward under recoil and causing flicker.
This adapter requires a SureFire UE or DS tailcap, which is not included. It is not compatible with the Protac 2.0 Rail Mount Lights and does not work with the Rail Mount HL-X Laser model.
